Conditions for moped rental

Rental conditions


Article 1: The tenant is deemed to have received the rented property in good condition.
The lessor is deemed to have delivered the rented property in good condition.


Article 2: The tenant declares that the tenant and co-tenant have taken note of the rental conditions. Drivers must be at least 16 years old and have a valid moped certificate or a valid Dutch driving license.


Article 3: During the rental period, tenants must at all times adhere to the Dutch road traffic law and are obliged to only use paved roads and asphalted bicycle paths and always handle the rented in a responsible manner. All repair and / or cleaning costs as a result of non-compliance with the conditions will be recovered from the tenant.


Article 4: Before and during the trip with the moped (s), no alcoholic beverages, narcotics or medicines that could affect the driving ability may be used.


Article 5: It is strictly forbidden to:

1. To load the moped (s) heavier than 150 kg.
2. Driving up and down the curbs or driving on the sidewalk.
3. Riding the moped (s) against each other.
4. Do not keep enough distance from the predecessor.
5. Change things about the scooter.

If it appears that one or more points have not been complied with, a fine of up to 500 euros will be charged, depending on the seriousness of the ignored prohibition.


Article 6: The mopeds are insured against liability. The tenants are fully liable for all damage caused by tenants. All damage to the mopeds or other property of the lessor, however named or caused, inflicted or arisen, regardless of whether this is the result of the fault of the renter or third parties, will be recovered by the lessor from the renter. The tenants will immediately and immediately reimburse the costs of repair as well as the costs of replacement, including those of damaged parts. If the total damage is not paid immediately, not only the costs of the damage but also all recovery costs will be borne by the tenant.


Article 7: Renting the moped (s) is at your own risk. The lessor is not liable for any form of compensation whatsoever for damage caused during the rental period to tenants, third parties and / or goods.


Article 8: The renter is liable in the event of theft or loss of the moped (s). The costs of replacement will be recovered from the tenant by the lessor. Loss of rent is not included.


Article 9: Tenants are not permitted to assign the rented property to third parties for use or sublet or to transfer the rental rights in whole or in part to third parties.


Article 10: In the event of an early return of the rented property (unless due to a mechanical defect), no refund of rent will be made.


Article 11: The lessor is at all times entitled to take back the rented property without refund after alleged abuse.


Article 12: The lessor has the right to cancel under certain weather conditions, free of charge, if safety is endangered, this at the discretion of the lessor.


Article 13: On delivery of the moped (s), some user and safety aspects of the moped (s) are discussed orally. User conditions and user agreements as well as all instructions given by the lessor must be followed and implemented immediately, without delay and in full by the tenant or driver.


Article 14: It is not allowed to be outside the Netherlands with the rented.


Article 15: Any form of a traffic fine that arises during the rental of the moped (s) is at the expense of the renter. The tenant must therefore take into account that a fine may be charged to him or her afterwards.


Article 16: An invoice will be provided upon reservation, which must be paid before the start of the rental period.


Article 17: The tenant pays (in cash on arrival) a deposit of € 50.00 per moped to the landlord. The landlord is entitled to deduct the amount of extra time used and / or any compensation against the deposits paid. Without prejudice to the lessor's right to additional compensation.


Article 18: If time is exceeded, a rate of € 2.50 per moped applies, rounded per half hour. If the rented moped (s) are not delivered on time, within the maximum agreed term, the renter will be liable to the lessor for each day that the moped is returned too late, without any notice of default being required, a fine of € 175.00 per day due.


Article 19: The necessary costs of normal maintenance, repair, due to mechanical defects are borne by the lessor. In such a situation, the tenant must immediately contact the landlord.

In the event of dissolution or partial dissolution due to a shortcoming of the lessor, he will refund any rent and deposit paid in proportion to the dissolution.


Article 20: Cancellations of reservations must be made in writing. Cancellation is free of charge up to 3 weeks before the rental date. If you wish to cancel the reservation afterwards, the full amount is due. In case of force majeure, postponement is possible in consultation

(maximum 3 months).


Article 21: The renters must park the moped (s) in a safe and visible place. This is to prevent or limit the risk of theft.


Article 22: The renters are obliged to secure the moped (s) at all times when parking the moped (s) with the supplied chain lock on the frame and through the rear wheel. Tenants are responsible and liable for the proper and correct attachment to an inseparable object (for example a lamppost). This also to prevent or limit theft.
