About
- We are Henk and Jantina van Huizen and live with our two sons, Waate and Daauwe, and of course beagle Tibbe, since August 2015 in villa Nij Bonga.
- When we were offered the opportunity to buy the property, we immediately realized that we would like to share the beauty of this and of the village and its surroundings with others. Because of the location and its impressive appearance, the building is very recognizable for Holwerd and the people passing by. We have noticed that many Holwerders have a memory of it. All this has inspired us to realize a village accommodation so that we can give more people a lasting memory.
- We are proud to say that these plans have now been realized. We have converted the former general practice into an attractive accommodation.
- Our travels through Scandinavia have shown us what we want. The landscape and culture of the countries appeal to us, but also the hospitality of the residents. During these trips we travel through the country to see different places.
- Many people in Norway and Sweden have a guesthouse at their house, which can be rented by the traveling tourists for a night or for a longer period. This is also frequently used.
- These guest accommodations are simply but functionally furnished, and guests do not need to reserve them in advance. There is a sign on the road that indicates whether the 'hytte' is occupied or free. If the flag is hanging at the house, the owners are at home and you can step in as a guest to discuss an overnight stay.
- This has led us to organize the accommodation in a similar and accessible way: as a guest you can just ring the bell and we will show our rooms. No reservation is required, but is always allowed! Logement Nij Bonga is open all year round for guests, for a short or longer stay.
- We are happy to inform our guests about the sights in the area, illustrated with among other things leaflets, which are present in the accommodation.
- In short: when you are looking for a small-scale and personal sleeping place, we are strongly recommended to offer you a pleasant stay.
